2025 BIENNIAL RULEMAKING
During this biennial rulemaking New Hampshire Wildlife Coalition is advocating for the following rule changes:
- Closing the fisher trapping and hunting season.
- Setting a total bag limit of 3, statewide and season long, for both species of fox. This limit to apply to take by any means.
- Close the hunting season for coyote from April 1 through August 31, the period during which they are denning and raising heir young.
- Requiring registration of all furbearers taken by hunting. Currently anyone with a hunting license can shot as many of any species as they want during a seven-month open season (or for coyote, a year long open season). Note: We are happy to see that New Hampshire Fish and Game has proposed this rule in the draft of their biennial rules.
