How do I give input on bills and follow the legislative process?

  • One way to support these Bills is to attend the hearing for that Bill. At the hearing you can provide written or oral testimony. We will post the date and time of the hearing once it is announced. If you’ve never attended a legislative hearing before, it is well worth the time.
  • A second option, if you can’t make it to Concord, is to use the Legislature’s online portals.

The House has an online testimony submission system, where you can indicate your position on the bill and, optionally, add testimony explaining your stance. The form to register is quite simple and only requires you to enter your name and address.

Then

  1. Select the date of the hearing: February 12, 2025 
  2. Select the Committee that will hear the Bill = “Fish and Game and Marine Resources”
  3. Select the time the Bill will be heard: HB 589 – 1:15: HB 573 -12:30; HB 202 -3:15
  4. For “I am”, choose “A Member of the Public”
  5. For “I’m Representing,” Choose “Myself”
  6. Indicate your position on the Bill – Choose “I support this Bill”
  7. You will be given the opportunity to either upload a PDF file with your testimony or type your comments in the box provided
  8. FINAL REVIEW – Check your work and click “Submit”
