We have some great news to share! We have been chosen to participate in the REVO Casino sponsorship program! REVO is a charitable gaming organization supporting hundreds of non-profits in New Hampshire, and this year, we are one of them. “Casinos” operate in NH exclusively under New Hampshire’s charitable gaming laws, not as traditional commercial casinos. These facilities are required to donate a significant portion of their proceeds to local nonprofit organizations to remain operational. We met specific criteria, as did other 501(c)(3) groups; REVO then assigned the chosen winners a designated week, for us it’s December 7th – 16th at the REVO Casino in Lebanon, NH (https://revocasino.com/revo-lebanon/). Our Coalition could earn up to 30% of the net proceeds from that week. Proceeds
might range anywhere from $20,000 to $50,000.
What could this mean for us? It might enable us to:
- hire a part-time Executive Director, or
- hire a social media coordinator to aid in outreach, or
- to assemble a legislative conference on the ecological value of New Hampshire’s predatory species for House and Senate members with a noted keynote speaker, such as Peter Coyote.
For the first time in my life, I will be gaming at a Casino in the hopes of raising money for our Coalition. We invite you to join us during “our week”. If you have never considered gaming, well, neither had I, but a few weeks ago, another Board member and I attended a REVO get-together with other non-profits that had won thousands of dollars through REVO. There were so many grateful volunteers and nonprofit board members from across New Hampshire, from SPCAs, Homeless Shelters, children’s support groups, etc., all glad to have participated. It was inspiring.
We are so excited about this opportunity, and we know that you, as our supporter, care for wildlife as we do. This is a chance to make a difference for wild creatures. We hope you can make it to West Lebanon (361 Miracle Mile, W. Lebanon).
Best to you and thanks for your support for New Hampshire’s beautiful wildlife.
